This meal was hands-down the worst of our travels. The “Lyonnaise salad” was not dressed and the poached egg was undercooked and broken, spoiling the classic dish. My husband’s chicken Gaston Gerard was very dry and tough, with just a small amount of tasteless sauce and some greasy fries on the side. The other classic dish, the Quenelle, tasted overwhelmingly fishy and was wet and spongy. We thought the chocolate mousse might save the day, but the top had a skin, like 3-day old pudding, and had no whipped cream or garnish of any kind. This meal and the restaurant were a huge disappointment. The only positive part of this restaurant was the friendly, helpful hostess. There are many wonderful restaurants in Vieux Lyon and we regret patronizing this one. It was terrible.
serveurs plutôt débordés par le nb de couverts (malgré notre réservation, on s'est retrouvés coincés contre une chaise haute, elle même coincée contre le mur, erreur dans les plats, puis dans les accompagnements, attente longue) mais excellent paté croute. gratin de ravioles un peu sec. Superbe château Neuf du pape L'oratoire !
Although it was highly recommended the dinner was mediocre as the are do many boucheron in this area to choose from. The recommended praline desert was do hard you couldn’t cut it . Try Brasserie Gabriel near the church so much better
Excellent accueil . La patronne est très présente, attentive à ce que tout se déroule bien. Chaleureuse et compétente, elle met de la bonne humeur tout en restant très professionnelle. Ca se reflète dans la qualité du service. Le repas est de bonne tenue et permet de toucher à des spécialités lyonnaises comme de s'en éloigner pour ceux que la gastronomie lyonnaise ne tente pas.
A recommander, tout spécialement pour les groupes en visite.
